Estonian BELC member talks to young people about importance of European elections

Estonian BELC member Ott Kasuri from the municipality of Harku Parish visited the Meriküla learning centre of the Tabasalu School on 16 April. The local councillor talked to students of 7th and 9th grades about the importance of the BELC network, European institutions, as well as the upcoming European elections.

The local councillor, who used to be the headmaster previously at this school and now he is the development Advisor at the Association of Estonian Cities and Municipalities, Chairman of the Economic Committee at Harku Parish, explained how EU institutions operate, what their roles are in relation to this year's European elections. He also emphasized the importance of Europe Day on the 9th of May.
